We make all our pies in our Walsingham shop kitchens. Made with love, care and attention, each pie is individually hand finished and pressed by our expert pie makers. Our pie following has grown and grown over the years, seeing us produce over 10,000 pies a year.
Our beef and ale pie is our best selling pie across all our range. Made with local beef farmed and reared in Norfolk and often within view of our shop. Each chunk is perfectly diced and prepared by our skilled team of butchers. The ale we use is from just down the road in Hindringham, produced by The Norfolk Brewhouse and compliments the rich beefy gravy perfectly! Our pastry is renowned for being moorish and rich in flavour. We use a hot water pastry recipe developed over 13 years to perfection. A blend of locally sourced butter, lard and flour form the perfect crust. Topped with a savoury pastry a signature topping and a glossy glaze.
All our pies are delivered cooked and chilled fresh. Each pie will have a minimum of 2 days shelf life upon arrival. All our pies can be frozen for a rainy day. Simply ensure they are fully defrosted in a fridge before reheating.
Our pies are really easy to reheat. Simply remove the outer plastic packaging, place on an oven proof tray and reheat at 180°c in a fan assisted oven for 25 minutes, or until piping hot. Carefully remove from the foil container and serve with accompaniments you desire!
