Autumn tastings, North Norfolk Restaurant Week, harvest produce

Come dine with us and celebrate North Norfolk Restaurant Week at our Restaurant in Walsingham, The Norfolk Riddle. Each evening from Wednesday 24th September-Sunday 28th September and again from Wednesday 1st October-Sunday 5th October we are offering a very special dinner menu at only £15 for two courses and £20 for three.

And you can join us this weekend at our Walsingham Farms Shop at Heacham, for two days of Harvest Tastings. You’ll be able to taste some of the best seasonal produce and we will be joined by some of our favourite suppliers as well as our home-grown jazz legends, the Pilgrim Jazz Band from Walsingham.

Autumn produce is here with fruits of the season, such as fresh cobnuts and wet walnuts (they need to be eaten up fairly quickly, and taste just slightly juicy, wonderful with cheese and pears). Catch the last of the plums and damsons, the first colourful pumpkins and squashes, new season purple sprouting broccoli, and the autumn raspberries continue with a lovely deep flavour.

Game will be coming in shortly as the partridge shooting season has begun, while we also have a new supply of rare breed pork, from large black pigs, the meat is currently available from the butchery as well as some amazing sausages.
